Yes, we have live DJs on the beach. Every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm a DJ plays on the sand at our beach club, at kilometre 8.5 on Tulum Beach Road. We call it UMi Beach Days. There's no cover and no minimum spend: you come in, take a sunbed or a poof, and order as you go.

The beach club itself is open every day from 11am to 7pm. We post the full weekly program, including DJ names and cinema nights, on Instagram at @umitulum.
Saturday and Sunday: UMi Beach Days
This is the DJ set most people come for. It starts at noon and runs until 6pm, on the sand, with the sea a few steps away. The music is there to keep the afternoon moving, not to take it over, and plenty of people spend it lying down. Others end up dancing by 4.
The beach is noticeably livelier at the weekend than during the week. If you want a sunbed in a particular spot, message us on WhatsApp at +52 984 205 6008 before you come. Reservations aren't required.
Order a signature cocktail for the afternoon: the Flamingo (Patrón Reposado, Campari, watermelon, sparkling water) or the Balam Ha (mezcal, chile liqueur, pineapple, ginger beer) at 360 MXN. Classics are 340 MXN.
Friday to Sunday: our weekend night
From Friday to Sunday we host a weekly gathering with a live DJ. It's our take on a Tulum party: on the sand, surrounded by nature, far from a club. Deep beats, the sea breeze, people dancing barefoot. Locals come, and so do travellers.
Night times and line-ups change week to week, so check @umitulum before you plan around one. Bottle service is available on these nights, and it includes two Red Bulls and two cans of soda.
If you're a member of the UMi Tribe, our community membership, entry to UMi events is free. Co-produced events are excluded from the member discount.
Wednesday: Volleyball Club
Every Wednesday, all day, the net goes up on the beach. Play, watch, or do neither. Classic cocktails are 2-for-1 while it runs, which makes a margarita or a paloma 340 MXN for two.
Thursday: Work Out Club, then fire
Thursday starts at 8am with a beachfront workout class. All levels are welcome, whether you're staying with us or just visiting the beach club. Yoga and Pilates sessions also run through the week.
Thursday is also when fire-grilled fish starts by the beach. It runs through Sunday, which means a Saturday DJ set and a grilled fish lunch can happen on the same afternoon.
Open-air cinema
As night falls, some evenings turn into movie nights: selected films on the beach, the ocean breeze and popcorn. Dates are on the weekly program.
If you want quiet
Come Monday to Thursday. The beach is calm, the music is low, and you'll hear the waves more than anything else. Our restaurant serves from 8am to 11pm, so a quiet day can run straight into dinner.
Getting here
We're at Carretera Tulum-Boca Paila KM 8.5, in the hotel zone. Parking is free. Dogs are welcome too, and the beach club has its own dog menu at 60 MXN a dish.
